The Bijou Awards Show will be Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 7pm. The top 5 in the following categories will perform on stage that evening. Categories High School Actor ' Male High School Actor ' Female High School Singer ' Male High School Singer ' Female Rising Star ' Middle School Singer Auditions are Free!! Winners receive 00 and an additional 0 will be given back to the teacher from your school's department. Open Auditions for Singing and Acting Bijou Theatre Sunday, October 16th ' 1:00-3:00pm Sunday, November 13th ' 1:00-3:00pm Audition Requirements: Singing ' one minute or 16 bars of any song of your choice. You may accompany yourself, but you will also be asked to sing a capella. Please provide your own pitch pipe. Acting ' a monologue from a play, movie or original of about 1 minute in length. New Categories Short Film ' 'A Comic Twist on Your Favorite Movie Scene' Photography ' 'Your Hometown in One Picture' Auditions are Free!! No cash award this year, but top films and photographs will be shown at the Bijou Awards Show. Short Film Take a famous movie scene or your favorite scene and rewrite it, cast it and reshoot it on any video recording device. Film must be no longer than 2 minutes (120 seconds). Three Categories for Recognition in Short Film: Funniest Most Creative Technological Achievement Photography Take a photo of your area of life that best shows the world you live in.
